Hi All, the photos from today are hereWell done to everyone that took part. Thank you to our referees Mike, Eric and James, Pete for doing the food and Danny / the team managers for organising it. We made £80 from the food and £38.50 from the bar for the football club. The other money (£115 after costs) has been put in the Walking Football Kitty, which we have set up to use for anything we might need as a group. For example, Danny bought some socks to replace old worn out ones.

Well done everybody, we certainly know how to organise such an event. My thoughts on our football. It was quite clear that some of the teams we played practise together, is this is not some thing we should consider? We have good individual players, but it is not often they play and get to know each other. We did not seem to have our full number of subs, and the last game I Reffed for the "B" team them seemed tired. Lastly all the teams we played had very smart kit. Is it possible for Clevedon Town Walking Football to have its own dedicated shirts etc with sponsors?

I've been trying to get a sponsor for some new kit. I have one possibly interested, and will go and approach Aldi and Lidl. I first need to put together a sponsor pack outlining exactly what publicity exposure the company will get by sponsoring us (in addition to the name on the shirt). I'm happy to take this forward. On the coaching /practising front, there are some very experienced coaches and players amongst us who might be able to help out getting some of our "styles and phases of play" at bit more coordinated. I guess it's up to the team managers to look at the needs of their teams and if necessary ask for support on the coaching side if they need it. It's early days in forming these new teams, so it will take a bit of time to get teams playing together in a coordinated way.
